This point-of-entry system installs on the main cold-water line and filters water before it reaches connected faucets, showers and appliances. Two large 10″ × 4.5″ housings provide sediment prefiltration followed by CTO carbon-block treatment.
Water passes through a sediment prefilter first, followed by a carbon-block polishing stage for chlorine-related taste and odor.
Installed where the main water supply enters the home, the system helps capture suspended particles and improve chlorine-related water quality before water is distributed through the plumbing.
Melt-blown polypropylene media helps capture dirt, sand, silt, visible rust particles and other suspended debris while protecting the carbon stage downstream.
Helps reduce chlorine, unpleasant taste and odor, and many common organic compounds while providing final water polishing.
Big Blue capacity
Standard 10″ × 4.5″ housings provide more media capacity than slim 10″ × 2.5″ systems.
Brass-threaded ports
Reinforced 1″ NPT inlet and outlet connections provide durable threaded plumbing interfaces.
Pressure-release buttons
Built-in pressure relief helps depressurize the housings before routine cartridge replacement.
Two complete filter sets
One sediment and CTO set is installed, and one complete replacement set is included as a spare.
Housing wrench included
The supplied Big Blue wrench assists with opening the sumps during filter service.
Preassembled bracket
The two housings arrive mounted to a heavy-duty dual metal bracket; final plumbing installation is required.
The sediment and CTO carbon-block combination is intended for suspended particles and chlorine-related concerns. Other water conditions may require specialty media, softening, disinfection or reverse osmosis.
Actual reduction and cartridge life depend on source-water chemistry, pressure, flow rate, household use and filter condition.
Chloramine generally requires catalytic carbon; hardness usually requires a water softener; microbiological concerns require appropriate disinfection; dissolved contaminants may require specialty media or RO.
