5-micron Big Blue sediment cartridge for whole-house filtration systems
This 10″ × 4.5″ melt-blown polypropylene cartridge helps capture suspended particles before they reach carbon filters, specialty media, appliances and downstream plumbing. Its larger Big Blue format provides greater dirt-holding capacity than standard slim cartridges.

Installation and maintenance
- ✓Shut off the water supply and relieve housing pressure before opening
- ✓Install only in a compatible 10″ × 4.5″ Big Blue housing
- ✓Use as the first filtration stage whenever possible
- ✓Inspect and clean the housing sump and O-ring during replacement
- ✓Pressurize slowly and inspect the housing for leaks
- ✓Replace when visibly loaded, when pressure drops, or at the recommended interval
