Description

Whole-home sediment and carbon filtration

Three-stage filtration with solid blue housings, two shutoff valves and a complete spare filter set

This point-of-entry system installs on the home’s main cold-water line and filters water before it reaches connected faucets, showers and appliances. It uses standard 10″ × 2.5″ slim cartridges and includes one installed filter set plus one complete replacement set.

What it does

Three filtration stages work together throughout the home

Water passes through a sediment prefilter followed by granular activated carbon and a CTO carbon-block polishing stage.

Installed where the main water supply enters the home, the system helps capture suspended particles and improve chlorine-related taste and odor before water is distributed through the plumbing.

Stage 01

5-Micron Sediment

Helps capture dirt, sand, silt, visible rust particles and other suspended debris while protecting the carbon cartridges downstream.

Stage 02

Granular Activated Carbon

Helps reduce chlorine, unpleasant taste and odor, and many common organic compounds while supporting practical household flow.

Stage 03

CTO Carbon Block

Provides a final polishing stage for chlorine-related taste and odor while helping capture finer suspended particles.

Key benefits

Whole-home filtration with practical installation and maintenance accessories

01

Point-of-entry filtration
Filters water for connected faucets, showers, laundry and appliances from one central location.

02

Dual carbon treatment
GAC supports household flow while the CTO carbon block provides an additional polishing stage.

3/4

Common plumbing connection
3/4″ threaded inlet and outlet ports suit many residential main-water installations.

2X

Two filter sets total
One filter set is installed and one complete spare set—three additional cartridges—is included.

V

Two shutoff valves included
Included on/off valves help isolate the system during installation and future filter changes.

W

Housing wrench included
The supplied wrench helps open the housings during routine cartridge replacement.

Reduction guide

What the included filters help reduce—and what requires other treatment

The standard sediment, GAC and CTO filter stack is intended for particulate and chlorine-related concerns. Other water conditions may require specialty media, softening, disinfection or reverse osmosis.

Helps reduce with the included filter set

Sediment
Dirt and silt
Sand
Visible rust particles
Suspended debris
Chlorine
Unpleasant taste
Unpleasant odor
Many common VOCs
Particle-related cloudiness

Actual reduction and cartridge life depend on source-water chemistry, pressure, flow rate, household use and filter condition.

Not designed to remove without specialty treatment

Hardness minerals
Dissolved scale
Dissolved iron
Fluoride
Chloramine
Bacteria or unsafe water
Dissolved salts / TDS

Chloramine generally requires catalytic carbon; hardness usually requires a water softener; microbiological concerns require appropriate disinfection; dissolved contaminants may require specialty media or reverse osmosis.

Before purchase and installation

Good to know

!
This is not a water softener
Sediment and carbon filters do not remove dissolved hardness minerals or prevent all mineral scale.

!
Check whether your city uses chloramine
The included standard carbon cartridges are intended primarily for chlorine. Chloramine generally requires catalytic carbon.

!
Confirm 3/4″ plumbing compatibility
Adapters or reducers may be required when the home’s main line uses a different connection size.

!
Professional installation is recommended
Use a licensed plumber and follow local plumbing and building codes. Confirm flow direction before connecting the system.

!
Protect the housings and leave service clearance
Install away from freezing conditions and direct sunlight, with enough clearance below the housings for cartridge replacement.

!
Flush and inspect after installation or service
Flush new carbon filters, pressurize the system slowly, and inspect all housings, fittings and valves for leaks immediately and again during the next 12 hours.

Filter life and reduction performance vary with water chemistry, sediment load, pressure, flow rate and household usage. This system is not intended to make microbiologically unsafe or unknown-quality water safe to drink. Test private-well or unknown water and select treatment based on the results.

We’ve had this unit installed for over a year now, and we’re just as satisfied as the day we first set it up. While there are more expensive systems out there, this one is unbeatable for the value. We’re on city water and tested it both before and after installation (I did it myself—no need to hire an expensive plumber). The results came back showing nearly 99% clean water, and the system has been performing perfectly for well over a year.

If you’re looking for a system that’s simple to install and gives you peace of mind about your water quality, this is the one to get. The only upgrade I would recommend is adding a UV purification stage for extra protection. We’re selling our current property soon, but we’ll definitely be installing this same system—this time with UV—at our new place.
