Polyphosphate cartridge for protecting water heaters, fixtures and appliances
This 10″ × 2.5″ specialty cartridge uses food-grade polyphosphate media to help inhibit limescale formation and corrosion. It is designed as a final treatment stage for compatible cold-water systems where equipment protection is needed without removing hardness minerals.

What it does
Helps keep hardness minerals suspended so they are less likely to form scale
Polyphosphate works by sequestration. A small amount of media dissolves into the water and binds with calcium, magnesium and iron so those minerals are less likely to deposit on pipes, heating elements and fixtures.
