This 10″ × 2.5″ specialty cartridge uses food-grade polyphosphate media to help inhibit limescale formation and corrosion. It is designed as a final treatment stage for compatible cold-water systems where equipment protection is needed without removing hardness minerals.
Polyphosphate works by sequestration. A small amount of media dissolves into the water and binds with calcium, magnesium and iron so those minerals are less likely to deposit on pipes, heating elements and fixtures.
Helps reduce the formation of limescale on water heaters, tankless units, boilers, coffee equipment, fixtures and household appliances.
Helps reduce corrosion on metal pipes, fittings and internal equipment surfaces by forming a protective treatment layer.
Helps Inhibit Limescale
Helps keep calcium and magnesium from depositing as hard scale on equipment and fixtures.
Helps Reduce Corrosion
Supports protection of pipes, fittings and metal surfaces exposed to treated water.
Protects Water Heaters
Helps reduce mineral buildup on heating elements and internal tank surfaces.
Protects Appliances
Useful ahead of boilers, tankless systems, coffee machines and other scale-sensitive equipment.
Food-Grade Media
Uses food-grade polyphosphate and requires no salt, electricity or regeneration.
Minerals Stay in the Water
Does not remove calcium or magnesium, so taste and hardness readings remain largely unchanged.
Performance depends on hardness, temperature, flow rate, usage and remaining media capacity.
This is a scale inhibitor, not a water softener. Use a softening resin or full softener when actual hardness removal is required.

Sediment Prefilter
Install first to capture dirt, sand, silt and visible rust particles.
Carbon Treatment
Install second when chlorine-related taste and odor treatment is needed.
SCALE10—Final Stage
Install last so polyphosphate-treated water flows directly toward the protected equipment.
Softening Alternative
Use IRON10 or a full water softener when the goal is actual hardness removal.
