Description
Big Blue housing connector
1″ male-to-male NPT union nipple with double O-ring seal
This polypropylene connector joins two compatible 1″ female NPT ports, such as adjacent Big Blue whole-house filter housing heads or a housing and an inline filtration component. Two integrated O-rings create face seals that help provide a secure, leak-resistant connection without relying on thread tape.

What it does
Connects compatible Big Blue housings in a compact multi-stage assembly
The nipple threads into two facing 1″ female NPT ports. As the components are brought together, the two O-rings seat against the mating faces to create the primary seal.

Installation guidance
- ✓Shut off the water supply and relieve all system pressure before installation
- ✓Confirm that both O-rings are present, clean and seated correctly in their grooves
- ✓Align both components so the threads start straight and the sealing faces meet evenly
- ✓Hand-tighten evenly, then add only about 1/4 turn if needed to seat the O-rings
- ✓Do not use a wrench or apply heavy torque to the plastic connector
- ✓Pressurize slowly and inspect the joint for leakage
