Clear-water iron + light softening
Big Blue ion-exchange cartridge for dissolved iron, manganese and hardness reduction
This 10″ × 4.5″ specialty cartridge uses cation-exchange resin to help reduce dissolved ferrous iron, manganese, calcium and magnesium. It is designed for clear-water iron that appears colorless at the tap but later causes orange-brown staining, metallic taste or discoloration.

How it works
Captures dissolved iron and hardness before staining and scale develop
The resin exchanges sodium ions for dissolved iron, manganese, calcium and magnesium as water passes through the cartridge. This helps reduce metallic taste, orange staining, hardness and scale formation in suitable low-to-moderate applications.

Installation and replacement

- ✓On chlorinated city water, install carbon before the resin cartridge
- ✓Use with cold water only and stay within the system pressure limit
- ✓Pressurize slowly and inspect the housing for leaks
