Replacement housing seal

3⅜″ O-ring for compatible slim whole-house filter housings with 3/4″ ports

This replacement gasket helps seal the connection between the housing sump and head on compatible MyAquaFilter dual- and triple-stage whole-house systems. Replace the O-ring when it becomes flattened, stretched, cracked, cut, twisted or no longer seals reliably.

What it does

Restores the seal between the housing head and sump

The O-ring sits in the housing-head groove and compresses when the sump is tightened. A clean, correctly seated gasket helps prevent water from leaking around the housing joint.

Installation guidance

✓Shut off the water supply and relieve all housing pressure
✓Remove the old O-ring and clean the gasket groove thoroughly
✓Inspect the groove and sealing surfaces for chips, cracks or debris
✓Apply only a light coat of food-grade silicone lubricant if needed
✓Seat the O-ring flat without twisting or stretching it
✓Reassemble, pressurize slowly and inspect the housing joint for leaks

When to replace

Common signs of a worn housing gasket

Flattened or compressed shape
An O-ring that no longer returns to its rounded shape may not seal reliably.

Visible cracks or cuts
Any nick, split or abrasion can create a leak path under pressure.

Stretching or looseness
A stretched gasket may not remain seated correctly in the housing groove.

Persistent housing-joint leak
Replace the gasket if cleaning and reseating do not stop leakage around the sump-to-head connection.

Twisting during installation
A twisted O-ring may pinch or roll out of the groove as the sump is tightened.

Loss of elasticity
A hardened or brittle gasket should be replaced rather than reused.

Use only food-grade silicone lubricant that is suitable for potable-water filter housings.

Do not over-tighten the sump
Excessive wrench force can deform the gasket or damage the housing threads.

Inspect the housing itself
A new O-ring will not correct leakage caused by a cracked sump, damaged head or distorted sealing surface.
