Description

RO remineralization & final-stage treatment

Raise the pH of low-mineral RO water while adding calcium, magnesium, and trace-mineral media

ALK-QC is a final-stage inline alkaline filter for compatible countertop and under-sink RO systems. Its blended mineral media is intended to raise the pH of naturally low-mineral RO permeate, add selected dissolved minerals, and give finished water a smoother, less acidic taste.

Mineral media

What the media contributes to finished RO water

Calcite / calcium carbonate; magnesium media; alkaline ceramic balls; tourmaline balls; FIR ceramic balls. Calcite can add calcium and help neutralize acidic RO water; magnesium and alkaline media can contribute mineral content and alkalinity. Tourmaline/FIR media are listed specialty mineral ceramics.

Minerals & wellness context

Useful mineral information without overstating health effects

Source lists approximately pH 8.4–9.3. The cartridge can contribute calcium, magnesium, and trace minerals, but the amount released is not fixed. Calcium and magnesium are essential dietary minerals.

  • Calcite (Calcium Carbonate) – adds essential calcium and helps stabilize pH
  • FIR (Far Infrared Ceramic Balls) – supports improved water structure and absorption
  • Alkaline Ceramic Balls – enhances alkalinity and raises pH
  • Tourmaline Balls – contributes to ORP reduction and mineralization
  • Magnesium Media – naturally boosts pH and adds trace minerals

Installation & maintenance

  • Install as the final mineral-treatment stage unless your system layout specifies otherwise
  • Use cold, microbiologically safe source water only
  • Flush a new cartridge before drinking-water use
  • Measure pH or TDS after flushing if a specific finished-water profile is important
Compatibility

Confirm tubing size, flow direction, and desired water profile

For compatible countertop and under-sink RO systems using 1/4″ or 3/8″ OD tubing. Follow the IN/OUT flow direction marked on the cartridge.
