What the media contributes to finished RO water
Calcite can add calcium carbonate-derived mineral content and help neutralize low-pH RO water. Alkaline mineral media is designed to increase alkalinity. Tourmaline is listed as specialty mineral media. ORP-related ceramic media is intended to shift measured oxidation-reduction potential; actual ORP is highly dependent on water chemistry and measurement conditions.

I’ve been using RO systems for years, and this is by far the best post-filter I’ve tried. After installing this 4-in-1 filter, the taste of my water dramatically improved—it’s smoother, less acidic, and has a refreshing mineral feel. I’m happy with the water quality and the health benefits this filter offers—my water tastes noticeably better and my TDS readings went up slightly, which is what I wanted. My only minor complaint is that it slightly reduced the water flow at the faucet, possibly due to the dense media. Still, the performance makes up for it. I feel better using this compared to a plain post-carbon filter. Would buy again!
