Description
Fixed whole-house pressure protection
70 PSI pressure-limiting valve for compatible 3/4″ and 1″ cold-water lines
This passive inline valve helps protect whole-house filter housings, reverse-osmosis components, fittings, O-rings and plumbing fixtures from excessive incoming water pressure. It limits downstream pressure to approximately 70 PSI and includes two adapters for use with compatible 1″ plumbing.

What it does
Helps prevent overpressure damage downstream
When incoming pressure rises above the valve’s fixed limit, the internal mechanism restricts flow to help maintain downstream pressure near 70 PSI. This can reduce stress on filter housings, threaded connections, quick-connect fittings, membranes, gaskets and household fixtures.

Before the Filtration System
Install downstream of the main shutoff valve and upstream of the first filter housing so the complete system receives pressure-limited water.

Installation overview
- ✓Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure
- ✓Install between the main shutoff valve and the first filter housing
- ✓Observe any flow-direction marking on the valve body
- ✓Use suitable PTFE tape or approved thread sealant on NPT connections
- ✓Support the plumbing so the valve does not carry pipe weight
- ✓Restore pressure slowly and inspect every connection for leaks
Important distinction
Pressure limiter versus adjustable regulator
Provides a fixed pressure ceiling near 70 PSI. It has no adjustment screw, gauge or user-selected outlet setting.
Allows the installer to select a lower or different downstream pressure and is better when a precise custom setting is required.
