PTFE thread seal tape for water filtration, RO and general plumbing connections
This PTFE plumbing tape wraps around male pipe threads to help fill small gaps between mating threads and create a secure, leak-resistant connection. It is suitable for compatible metal and plastic threaded fittings used in cold-water filtration and plumbing systems.

Application steps
- ✓Clean and dry the male threads before wrapping
- ✓Start one thread back from the fitting opening so loose tape does not enter the water line
- ✓Wrap clockwise when looking directly at the end of the male fitting
- ✓Keep the tape flat and slightly tensioned as it follows the thread direction
- ✓Use about 6 wraps for larger fittings and about 8 wraps for smaller fittings, as stated on the current listing
- ✓Press the tape into the threads, assemble carefully, then check for leaks after pressurizing
When not to use it
Not every threaded or quick-connect fitting needs tape
Use on compatible male tapered pipe threads when the connection relies on thread engagement for sealing.
Do not apply to push-connect tubing ports, compression ferrules, faucet aerator threads, or threaded fittings that seal with a built-in O-ring unless the manufacturer specifically instructs otherwise.
