GAC Granular Activated Carbon filter cartridge, 10″x2.5″, SKU# GAC10
This 10″ × 2.5″ drop-in cartridge is designed for compatible whole-house, under-sink and reverse-osmosis prefilter housings. Loose granular activated carbon provides practical flow and broad contact with water for everyday chlorine, taste and odor treatment.
Granular activated carbon allows water to flow through loose carbon media, making this cartridge well suited as a second-stage carbon filter after sediment prefiltration.
Helps reduce chlorine, unpleasant taste, unpleasant odor and many common volatile organic compounds when used within its rated operating conditions.
Commonly installed after a sediment cartridge and before a CTO carbon block, RO membrane or additional treatment stage.
Loose carbon media
Granular activated carbon provides broad water contact and practical flow.
Standard slim size
Fits compatible housings designed for standard 10″ × 2.5″ drop-in cartridges.
Listed flow up to 5 GPM
Suitable for compatible under-sink and selected whole-house applications.
RO prefilter compatible
May be used as the second prefilter stage in compatible under-sink reverse-osmosis systems.
Whole-house compatible
May be used in compatible slim-housing whole-house systems as part of a multi-stage setup.
Drop-in installation
Replaces directly inside compatible standard slim filter housings.
Actual reduction and service life depend on source-water chemistry, chlorine level, pressure, flow rate and water use.
Performance varies by water quality, contact time, cartridge condition and installation.
Use a sediment prefilter upstream. Chloramine generally requires catalytic carbon; hardness usually requires a softener; microbiological concerns require appropriate disinfection.

John –
This filter does a great job reducing chlorine and odors in our tap water. Water tastes much better now. I gave it 4 stars only because I wish the filter had a longer lifespan, but for the price and performance, it’s an excellent choice
