This passive inline valve helps protect whole-house filter housings, reverse-osmosis components, fittings, O-rings and plumbing fixtures from excessive incoming water pressure. It limits downstream pressure to approximately 70 PSI and includes two adapters for use with compatible 1″ plumbing.
When incoming pressure rises above the valve’s fixed limit, the internal mechanism restricts flow to help maintain downstream pressure near 70 PSI. This can reduce stress on filter housings, threaded connections, quick-connect fittings, membranes, gaskets and household fixtures.
Helps protect downstream components when municipal supply pressure or temporary pressure surges exceed the preferred operating range of the filtration system.
Install downstream of the main shutoff valve and upstream of the first filter housing so the complete system receives pressure-limited water.
Fixed 70 PSI Limit
Helps maintain downstream pressure near 70 PSI when incoming pressure exceeds that level.
Protects Filter Housings
Helps reduce stress on slim and Big Blue housings, caps, ports and mounting connections.
Protects RO Components
Helps protect membranes, tubing, quick-connect fittings and other pressure-sensitive components.
Fits 3/4″ Lines Directly
The valve has 3/4″ male NPT connections on both ends.
1″ Adapters Included
Two included bushings adapt the valve for compatible 1″ threaded plumbing.
No Adjustment or Maintenance
The passive mechanical design requires no electricity, setting changes or routine servicing.
Supply Pressure Above 70 PSI
Useful when static municipal pressure is higher than the preferred operating range of the installed filtration equipment.
Pressure Surges
May help reduce downstream exposure to supply surges, thermal expansion and some transient pressure increases.
Repeated O-Ring or Leak Problems
Premature gasket failure, housing leaks or fitting problems may be associated with excessive pressure.
New Whole-House Installation
Can be installed upstream as preventive protection for single-, dual- or triple-stage filter systems.
