Description

This advanced filter cartridge combines premium catalytic carbon with KDF-85 redox media to provide enhanced reduction of chemical contaminants, chlorine, chloramine, and unpleasant odors, while also helping address iron, hydrogen sulfide, and certain heavy metals.

Compared to standard GAC carbon filters, this dual-media design delivers broader and more effective performance—especially for chloramine, sulfur odors (“rotten egg” smell), and iron-related taste and discoloration.

The catalytic carbon component targets chlorine, chloramine, VOCs, and organic chemicals, while the KDF-85 media enhances treatment through redox reactions, helping reduce dissolved metals and inhibit bacterial growth within the filter.
