The Omnipure K5654-BB is an inline ion-exchange softening cartridge designed to reduce calcium and magnesium hardness. Used as pretreatment, it can help limit scale buildup on RO membrane surfaces and in small point-of-use filtration components.

This filter definitely improved the softness of our water. Soap lathers better, and no more chalky taste. I noticed a slight drop in flow rate after 6 months, but that’s expected. Just replaced it and back to normal. Solid product.
