Confirm Big Blue size
This cartridge fits 10″ × 4.5″ Big Blue housings and does not fit standard 10″ × 2.5″ slim housings.

Always use sediment filtration first
Grit and suspended solids can shorten carbon life and cause channeling through the loose GAC bed.

This is not a fine sediment filter
The 25-micron rating reflects its role as a high-flow carbon-adsorption cartridge.

Check whether your city uses chloramine
This standard GAC cartridge is intended primarily for chlorine. Chloramine generally requires catalytic carbon.

Service life varies
High chlorine levels, high flow, heavy use or poor sediment prefiltration may shorten cartridge life.

Flush before normal use
Initial dark water may be caused by harmless carbon fines. Flush to drain until the water runs clear.

This product includes one replacement cartridge only. Filter housing, wrench, mounting bracket, plumbing fittings and additional filters are not included. It is not intended to make microbiologically unsafe or unknown-quality water safe to drink.
