75 GPD TFC Reverse Osmosis Membrane, 1812 Type, SKU# TW-1812-75

Description

75 GPD replacement RO membrane

Standard 1812 TFC membrane for compatible countertop and under-sink reverse-osmosis systems

This 75 GPD thin-film composite reverse-osmosis membrane is a standard residential replacement for compatible 1812 membrane housings. It provides a balanced combination of water production and dissolved-solids rejection for drinking-water RO systems using the correct 75 GPD flow restrictor.

Application

A practical 75 GPD replacement for everyday residential RO

The 75 GPD rating is commonly used in residential reverse-osmosis systems where moderate production and strong rejection are preferred. It can be used in compatible MyAquaFilter/MyWaterClub countertop systems and standard under-sink RO systems that are designed for a 75 GPD membrane.

Countertop RO

Portable Systems

Suitable for compatible countertop RO systems using an 1812 membrane housing and a properly matched 75 GPD flow restrictor.

Under-sink RO

Standard Residential Systems

Suitable for compatible tank-based or tankless under-sink RO systems designed around a 75 GPD membrane.

How it works

Thin-film composite membrane for dissolved-solids reduction

Reverse osmosis uses pressure to move water through a semipermeable TFC membrane. The membrane helps reduce dissolved salts, minerals, metals, nitrate, fluoride, and other membrane-rejectable substances while allowing purified water to pass to the product-water side.

TDS

Dissolved Solids
Helps reduce overall TDS and dissolved mineral content.

F

Fluoride
Helps reduce fluoride ions under suitable operating conditions.

NO3

Nitrate / Nitrite
Helps reduce nitrate and nitrite from the feed water.

MET

Selected Metals
Helps reduce dissolved metals such as lead, arsenic, chromium, and copper.

MIN

Hardness Minerals
Helps reduce calcium, magnesium, sodium, and other dissolved salts.

1812

Standard Residential Size
Designed for compatible standard 1812 membrane housings.

What 75 GPD means

Rated capacity is not the same as real-world production

75 GPD means the membrane is rated for up to 75 gallons per day under standardized test conditions. Actual production is usually lower because household water temperature, pressure, feed-water TDS, membrane age, and system configuration vary.

Rated Output
75 gallons per day under ideal test conditions, equivalent to approximately 3.1 gallons per hour if operated continuously at the rated condition.
Typical Residential Output
Often lower than the laboratory rating. Production should be evaluated using the actual system pressure, temperature, source-water TDS, and flow restrictor.

Do not compare GPD ratings only by speed. A membrane must be matched to the system’s flow restrictor and operating conditions.
Compatibility

Confirm membrane size, rating, housing, and flow restrictor before ordering

1812 membrane housing
The system should accept a standard 1812 residential RO membrane.

75 GPD system configuration
Use as a like-for-like replacement when the existing system is designed around a 75 GPD membrane.

Matching flow restrictor
The drain-side flow restrictor must be sized for the 75 GPD membrane.

Proper prefiltration
Sediment and carbon prefilters should be maintained so particles and oxidants do not prematurely damage the membrane.

Best-use checklist

  • Existing membrane is 75 GPD or the system is being correctly reconfigured for 75 GPD
  • Membrane housing accepts standard 1812-format membranes
  • Flow restrictor is matched to 75 GPD
  • Sediment and carbon prefilters are in good condition

Replacement guidance

Replace based on age, production, and measured rejection

Typical Life
Approximately 2–3 years under normal residential conditions with proper prefiltration.
Replace Earlier When Needed
Consider replacement when purified-water production slows significantly or measured TDS rejection declines.

Installation

Protect the membrane and flush it before evaluating performance

1

Shut Off and Depressurize

Turn off the feed water and release system pressure before opening the membrane housing.

2

Install in the Correct Direction

Insert the membrane according to the housing design and ensure the sealing end is fully seated.

3

Check Prefilters and Restrictor

Confirm that sediment and carbon prefilters are serviceable and that the flow restrictor matches 75 GPD.

4

Flush Before Use

Run and discard the initial product water after installation. Allow the system to stabilize before using TDS readings to judge final performance.

Before purchase

Good to know

!
75 GPD is a rated value
Actual household output is usually lower and depends strongly on pressure and temperature.

!
Flow restrictor matching is required
Changing membrane capacity without matching the restrictor can affect production, rejection, and membrane life.

!
Chlorine protection is important
TFC membranes require effective carbon pretreatment to protect the membrane from oxidant exposure.

!
Reduction percentages are not fixed
Actual rejection varies with feed-water chemistry, pressure, temperature, membrane condition, and system design.

!
Not a microbiological purifier
Do not use this membrane alone to make microbiologically unsafe or unknown-quality water safe to drink.

!
Verify system compatibility
Confirm the existing membrane label, membrane housing, GPD rating, and flow restrictor before ordering.

Reduction performance and membrane life depend on source-water chemistry, pressure, temperature, prefiltration, membrane condition, flow-restrictor selection, and system maintenance. This product is not represented as a certified microbiological purifier.
Not sure whether 75 GPD is the correct replacement?
Send the existing membrane label, RO system model, source-water TDS, water pressure, and a photo of the flow restrictor or drain-line assembly.
