Description
Polish RO water toward near-zero TDS with USA-made mixed-bed deionization media
The Omnipure K2555-BB is a mixed-bed deionization polishing cartridge for applications requiring extremely low dissolved-ion content. Installed after RO, the ion-exchange media removes residual cations and anions that pass through the membrane, making it useful for aquariums, humidifiers, laboratory-style water preparation, and ultra-low-TDS drinking-water configurations.
What this media is designed to do
Mixed-Bed DITargets both positively and negatively charged dissolved ions.
Ultra-Low TDSCan bring already-low-TDS RO permeate close to zero when the resin is fresh and properly sized.
Made in USAOmnipure K2555-BB.
1/4″ / 3/8″ Options1/4″ FPT body with selectable elbow adapters.
Useful information without overstating health effects
DI water is primarily a purity choice rather than a health feature. It removes residual ionic minerals—including calcium and magnesium—rather than adding them. Customers who prefer mineral taste or alkalinity should add a remineralization stage after DI, if desired.

Match the filter to the water-quality goal
For compatible RO systems where the RO membrane already provides low-TDS feed water. DI resin life will be much shorter if used directly on high-TDS tap water.

Ethan –
I’ve been using the Omnipure K2555 DI post-filter after my RO system for a few weeks now, and I’m truly impressed. It delivers amazingly crisp, ultra-pure water—perfect for brewing coffee, aquariums, and lab-quality tasks. The filter efficiently drops the TDS to near zero with zero taste or odor. Installation was a breeze thanks to standard quick-connect fittings. A bit pricier than standard carbon filters, but the purity and consistency are absolutely worth it. Highly recommended for anyone seeking top-tier water quality!
