Description

150 GPD high-output residential RO membrane

2012 TFC/TW membrane for compatible countertop and under-sink reverse-osmosis systems

This 150 GPD thin-film composite reverse-osmosis membrane is designed for compatible residential RO systems that need faster purified-water production. It is well suited to countertop RO systems without storage tanks and to under-sink systems with higher daily water demand.

Application

Faster production for higher daily drinking-water demand

A 150 GPD membrane provides more rated output than 50, 75, or 100 GPD residential membranes. It is a practical choice for compatible countertop systems where faster fill time matters and for under-sink systems that need higher production.

Countertop RO

Faster Tankless Production

Well suited to compatible countertop RO systems where purified water is collected directly rather than stored in a pressure tank.

Under-sink RO

Higher Daily Demand

Suitable for compatible tank-based or tankless under-sink systems designed around a 150 GPD membrane and matching flow restrictor.

How it works

Thin-film composite membrane for dissolved-solids reduction

Reverse osmosis uses water pressure to move feed water across a semipermeable TFC membrane. The membrane helps reduce dissolved salts, minerals, metals, nitrate, fluoride, and other membrane-rejectable substances while purified water passes to the product-water side.

TDS

Dissolved Solids
Helps reduce overall TDS and dissolved mineral content.

F

Fluoride
Helps reduce fluoride ions under suitable operating conditions.

NO3

Nitrate / Nitrite
Helps reduce nitrate and nitrite in the feed water.

MET

Selected Metals
Helps reduce dissolved metals such as lead, arsenic, mercury, chromium, and copper.

MIN

Dissolved Minerals
Helps reduce calcium, magnesium, sodium, and other dissolved salts.

2012

Residential High-Output Format
Ships as a standard 2012-size residential membrane.

What 150 GPD means

Rated output is approximately 6.25 gallons per hour under ideal test conditions

GPD means gallons per day. A 150 GPD membrane is rated for approximately 6.25 gallons per hour if operated continuously under standardized test conditions. Actual household production is normally lower because water pressure, temperature, feed-water TDS, membrane condition, and system design vary.

Rated Capacity
150 gallons per day under standardized test conditions.
Real-World Production
Typically lower than the rated value, especially with colder water, lower pressure, or higher source-water TDS.
GPD describes membrane production capacity, not guaranteed household output. The membrane, flow restrictor, pressure, temperature, and system configuration all affect actual production.
Compatibility

Confirm housing size and match the flow restrictor to 150 GPD

2012 membrane format
The membrane ships in the 2012 format, approximately 2.0″ × 12″.
Compatible 1812/2012 housing
Use only in a membrane housing confirmed to accept the 2012 diameter; MyAquaFilter/MyWaterClub standard housings may accept both 1812 and 2012 formats.
150 GPD flow restrictor
The drain-side flow restrictor must be correctly matched to the 150 GPD membrane.
Proper prefiltration
Sediment and carbon prefilters should be maintained to help protect the membrane from particles and oxidants.

Before ordering

  • Confirm the system is designed for a 150 GPD membrane or is being correctly reconfigured for 150 GPD
  • Confirm the housing physically accepts a 2012 membrane
  • Confirm the drain-flow restrictor is matched to 150 GPD
  • Inspect or replace sediment and carbon prefilters before installing a new membrane
Maintenance

Replace based on age, production rate, and measured rejection

Typical Membrane Life
Approximately 2–3 years under normal residential conditions with proper prefiltration.
Replace Earlier When Needed
Consider replacement when purified-water production slows significantly or measured TDS rejection declines.
Installation

Protect the membrane and flush it before evaluating performance

1

Shut Off and Depressurize

Turn off the feed water and release system pressure before opening the membrane housing.

2

Install and Fully Seat

Insert the membrane according to the housing design and make sure the sealing end is fully seated.

3

Check Prefilters and Restrictor

Confirm that sediment and carbon prefilters are serviceable and that the flow restrictor matches the 150 GPD membrane.

4

Flush Before Use

Run and discard the initial product water after installation, then allow the system to stabilize before relying on TDS readings.

Before purchase

Good to know

!
150 GPD is a rated value
Actual household output is normally lower and depends strongly on feed pressure, temperature, and source-water TDS.
!
Higher GPD is not automatically a drop-in upgrade
A 150 GPD membrane may fit an existing housing, but the flow restrictor and overall system configuration must also match the higher capacity.
!
2012 diameter should be confirmed
The MyWaterClub listing specifies a 2.0″ × 12″ 2012 membrane. Confirm that a third-party housing accepts this diameter before ordering.
!
Chlorine protection is important
TFC membranes require effective carbon pretreatment to help protect the membrane from oxidant exposure.
!
Reduction percentages are not fixed
Actual rejection varies with feed-water chemistry, pressure, temperature, membrane condition, and system design.
!
Not a microbiological purifier
Do not use this membrane alone to make microbiologically unsafe or unknown-quality water safe to drink.
Reduction performance and membrane life depend on source-water chemistry, pressure, temperature, prefiltration, membrane condition, flow-restrictor selection, and system maintenance. This product is not represented as a certified microbiological purifier.
Not sure whether 150 GPD is the correct replacement?
Send the existing membrane label, RO system model, source-water TDS, water pressure, and a photo of the membrane housing and flow restrictor.
